CETEC will be at Murcia’s Science Fair: Secyt22

Murcia Region Science and Technology Week (Secyt22) is being held again after two years of absence due to the pandemic, organised by the Seneca Foundation, in the Malecón de Murcia Botanical Garden.

The Centro Tecnológico del Calzado y el Plástico (CETEC) will participate in two activities this year. “Making biodegradable and biobased plastics from waste” will allow people to see how the different stages are carried out in the laboratory to obtain these biobased and biodegradable plastics from waste from the agri-food industry.

On behalf of Agro2Circular, from the centre, we will participate in the activity “The hidden value of waste from the agri-food sector“, organised by CETEC and CTNC with the collaboration of AGROFOOD, to show our first results and contribute to awakening vocations scientists driving the transition to a Circular Economy.

In addition, during the event, we will present the pilot course for creating a video game related to circular economy concepts. In addition to programming, the student will participate in a Video Game Contest on Circular Economy.

Fuensanta holds a degree in Chemical Sciences and a PhD in Industrial Technologies. She is an Expert in Plastics and Rubber. She has worked at CETEC for over 20 years as the Plastics Laboratory Responsible. Since 2016, she is the R&D Responsible related to Plastics & footwear Circularity and Sustainability activities.
