TECNIT proposes the search for a comprehensive solution to the problem of the nitrification of salinized waters by investigating the development of a technology for the elimination of nitrogen in saline effluents through the use of halophilic microorganisms that produce polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs). In this way, based on the experience and knowledge accumulated by CETEC in recent years, we hope to transform this contaminated water into a useful resource for producing these bioplastics that are highly valued by the market.
