The DIS platform of Agro2Circular participated in the X Ibero-American Symposium on Waste Engineering organized by the Ibero-American Network for Environmental Sanitation (REDISA) with the aim of presenting and discussing research in all lines of investigation focused on the development of comprehensive waste management models, treatment technologies, and more sustainable and circular disposal models.
As developers of the Traceability Tool, CETEC gave an oral presentation to showcase the digital solution developed for the different life cycles of agri-food waste. Firstly, the existing issues in the utilization of both organic and plastic waste were presented. Then, each life cycle was addressed, revealing how the tool integrates the various phases through which these waste materials go to become new identifiable and traceable products.
